The ambience was wonderful as we enjoyed our selected dishes. As each dish came to the table we commented on the stunning presentation. Even the coconut rice was served in half coconuts! Each dish from the vegie curry to the lamb dish was tasty and very distinctive. A fabulous evening was enjoyed.
Mumtaaz delivers an authentic culinary experience with rich, flavorful dishes like butter chicken and perfectly baked naan. The warm traditional decor, with its earthy tones and intricate Indian art, creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Friendly service and delicious food make it a top choice for Indian cuisine lovers.
We recently dined at Mumtaaz Indian bistro and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for an authentic Indian experience. The menu is a treasure trove of traditional Indian flavors, with something to satisfy every palate. What truly stood out was the attention to detail in the flavors. Each dish had a depth and complexity that showcased the chef’s expertise in blending spices. The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about sharing their culture through food.
Taste: Not suitable for Indian, especially South Indian palates. Service: Disappointing—kitchen staff were loud and unprofessional, which was very annoying. Atmosphere: Beautiful ambiance with well-presented cutlery; deserves a 9/10. Pleasant music turned unpleasant with the experience we had gone through. Value for Money: Poor. At $40 per person, the portion sizes don’t justify the price. The $33 chicken curry was more of a capsicum, onion, and tomato gravy and lacked substance. If you have 100$ three medium eaters can have meal. Customer Experience: The lady at the counter seemed more focused on profits than recommending good dishes. Surprisingly, she mentioned not having tried many of the items on the menu.
Everything was upto the mark, nice and fancy restaurant. Staff was polite and co-operative. Spice level was good, as per Indian standards. We ordered Veg Korma, Malai chaap and Bhindi do pyaza, Feedback: Bhindi do pyazza had too much onions and less okra, Also garlic naan had too much of garlic in it. Would highly recommend !!!
Our family of 5 enjoyed a leisurely and throughly delicious lunch today. Authentic flavours, great service, and all plates were left clean - a clear sign of appreciation from 3 kids with varying tastes. We look forward to returning soon!
The best butter chicken I have eaten, flavour was amazing and service was great. The quality of rice was good and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend to others to try their amazing food.
Very very tasty food. As a non-indian, I absolutely loved the food here. Went there with young kids and asked for spices to be mild and they actually made it mild (unlike some other places where mild is still too hot!). Tried 3 different dishes (vegie and chicken) all tasted great. Only downside was cleanliness wasn’t the best. (Stained napkins, glass not super clean etc. especially since the food wasn’t really cheap, expected more attention to detail)
Good and fresh food. Will recommend, however, with caution because disappointed and concerned about some false advertising - Kashmiri naan is advertised with dry fruits, nuts but all we had were dessicated coconuts and bindi do pyaza lacked any flavour or punch. Would rate higher if these were rectified.
